The Year Ten class arranged a number of events in the community and in school.
A number of private individuals kindly donated out of a spirit of generosity, goodwill and charity.
The school's gratitude is extended to all those who assisted in the fund raising, but more especially to all those people who contributed...no matter how big or small... it all added up to a grand total. Thank you again!!
It is appropriate to note that all monies raised go directly to the Cambodia Outreach Programme. All staff and students pay for their own travel costs.
The money raised means that we will be able to:
- Build four wells in villages.
- Donate six bales of second hand clothing to the village school kids.
- Pay the annual salary for one teacher at Smiling Hearts School which operates entirely on donations.
- Supply stationery and games equipment to Smiling Hearts School.
- Assist with the supply of baby formula to the Catholic orphanage in Siem Reap.
- Assist with the supply of clothing and hygienic equipment to the Catholic orphanage.

Mrs Di Nyman, Head of Primary School kindly donating $50:00 to go towards a bale of second-hand clothing.
Homeroom Middle School Two organised a Theme Dress and Water Slide Day as a fun activity at the end of the First Term and that generated $462:00. It was a class decision to put the money towards buying a well ($350.00) and two bags of second-hand clothing ($112:00).
During the semester the class also raised a further $95:00 through personal donations and that money will go towards paying for power at Smiling Hearts School - it will finance almost 6 months of the power bill!!
In addition, several students handed over stationery items such as coloured pencils and textas..
Thank you so much for all your efforts, you made your Homeroom Teacher, Mr Weatherdon, very proud.
